Credit Card Complaints – Where can I file a complaint about Chase Freedom Credit card?

August 10, 2010

Question by raininggreenbug: Where can I file a complaint about Chase Freedom Credit card?
We had two chase credit cards and they cancelled us without any notice. After going through several operaters they told me it was because we had a high balance on one card. So the bank cancelled us cause we were only making minimum payments; by doing this they forfeited all of our rewards (which were about 0). I then payed off the whole credit card. The only reason we hadn't was that it was at 0% APR and we were saving the money collecting interest in another account. Had customer service called us to check they would have known; instead they cancelled us on both accounts. We never had any late payments or problems at all!
Does anyone know where I can file a complaint- I would love to get my rewards that we had earned through them.

They make all the rules and can change the rules in the middle of the game.
Your best bet is to not play the game.
pay as you go and live on less than you make and you will have money. If you play the credit card game sooner or late you start losing. When you start losing its hard to get out of the game. High interest rates That they can raise for what ever reason. Outrageous late fees and over the limit fees. Not to mention Identity theft which is on the rise.

Of course these bankers and their loyal followers on here are gonn tell you different but,

Debt free is the way to be!

I doubt if it will do any good.

Most creditors will have a stipulation in their “terms of service” that they will periodically check your credit score. If you fail to meet their guidelines, they have the right to terminate the card, with loss of any “reward” you may have earned.

I would also contact the credit bureaus, and file a notice of explanation as to why they terminated your account. Point out that you were never late, (information they should have) always paid at least the minimum, etc. You should also request a copy of your credit report, just to make sure nothing messy is going on.
